Report: Tottenham plan £30m summer swoop for Valencia midfielder

Tottenham Hotspur failed to sign a single new player in the summer transfer window, becoming the first ever Premier League club to achieve such a thing.

Spurs have also yet to dip their toes into the winter transfer market, with a Mousa Dembele outgoing being the only piece of January business so far.

However, a report from ESPN states that Spurs may already be planning for their 2019 summer purchases, with one midfielder in particular in mind.

Valencia’s Carlos Soler is said to be a prime target for Pochettino and co come the end of the season, hopefully after Tottenham have moved into their new stadium.

Soler has reportedly been regularly watched by Tottenham scouts this season.

The under-21 Spain international scored the winner in the Champions League this season against Manchester United, scoring two and setting up six in all competitions this campaign.

Spurs are said to be frontrunners for the player’s signature.
