Report: Tottenham plan on making £20m offer for PL attacker in January

According to Todo Fichajes, Tottenham are already plotting a move for Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech in the January transfer window.

Ziyech was linked with a move to Spurs late in the summer transfer window, with The Times reporting two weeks ago that Chelsea had offered the winger to their London rivals.

Relevo claimed just a day before the window slammed shut that Spurs were eyeing a late deal for the Moroccan international and had started negotiations with the Blues for the player.

The publication even suggested that the North London club were ‘on track’ to agreeing on personal terms with the 29-year-old.

However, Spurs were not able to get the deal over the line, with Ziyech staying put at Stamford Bridge.

Todo Fichajes now claim that Antonio Conte’s men will try again to sign the former Ajax man in January after testing the waters in the summer.

The report asserts that Ziyech is not in Thomas Tuchel’s plans and that the Blues would be willing to sell the winger in January.

Ziyech is said to be open to the idea of joining Spurs, who are allegedly ready to pay £20m for his services in January.

There is still a lot of time to go until the January window and things could change depending on injuries and other factors. It is even conceivable that Ziyech could force himself into Tuchel’s plans before that time. However, Spurs will likely be on the lookout for an attacker in January as one would expect Bryan Gil to be loaned out.
