Report: Tottenham player completes medical ahead of North London exit

Tottenham Hotspur may be down to just one senior striker by the end of this week, as Vincent Janssen has reportedly completed a medical ahead of his North London exit.

Cancha claim that Janssen completed his medical examinations with Monterrey, a Mexican side, in London yesterday.

The Dutch striker is now expected to fly out to Mexico to finalise the deal in the coming days, finally putting an end to his Tottenham nightmare.

Janssen has spent three seasons as a Spurs player, racking up 42 games with just six goals in that time. He also spent a year on loan to Fenerbahce in the 2017/18 season, where he scored five goals in 18 games (Wikipedia).

Spurs signed the 25-year-old for around £17m back in 2016 after he scored 27 goals in his final season in the Dutch top-flight (BBC).

While Cancha do not reveal how much Monterrey are paying for Janssen, with just a year left on his contract and only sporadic football under his belt in the past year, I would not expect a lot.
