According to the print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport (as relayed by Sport Witness), Emerson Royal is ‘convinced’ that a move to AC Milan would be the right next step in his career.
The report says that the Tottenham man, who is surplus to requirements for Ange Postecoglou, sees Milan as the perfect club for him to join this summer.

The Brazilian has allegedly already given the green light to complete a move to the San Siro ahead of the opening of the transfer window.
It is explained that if the decision was solely in the 25-year-old’s hands, he would already be holding up a Milan shirt.
However, it is explained that even though Emerson is convinced about the move, Tottenham, despite wanting to sell the right-back, will not ‘give gifts to anyone’.

The North London side have allegedly made it clear to the Rossoneri that they want at least €20m (£17m) for the defender, with the two clubs needing to hammer out an agreement.
Emerson’s agents are now said to be working with Milan to agree terms on a contract, with there being confidence among the parties that there would be no issues regarding wages.
This is because the former Real Betis man wants to ‘relaunch himself’ in Serie A and has his heart set on a move to the Italian giants.

Just because Emerson’s entourage might be pushing for an agreement, Tottenham will not be pressured into a cut-price sale to Milan.
Spurs would know that the Brazilian will attract plenty of interest this summer and will thus insist that the Rossoneri meet their demands.
