Report: Tottenham player is now 50:50 to leave the club this summer

The Independent have claimed that Harry Kane is now equally likely to leave Tottenham this summer as he is to stay.

The report claims that as things stand, the future of Kane remains a ’50-50′, with Bayern Munich said to believe that they have everything in place for the deal to go through barring an agreement with Daniel Levy.

It is alleged that the possibility of the England captain leaving his boyhood club is now seen as much more realistic than it had been previously.

The publication explains that it is now simply a question of Bayern making the sort of offer that Levy deems acceptable for the striker.

Spurs will not sell Harry Kane to a rival in England

The Independent add that the Tottenham chairman remains unwilling to listen to any offers for Kane from Premier League sides.

This report comes just a couple of days after The Athletic’s Charlie Eccleshare stated that the feeling in the industry is that Spurs will not allow the 29-year-old to leave on a free transfer under any circumstances.

Eccleshare asserted that should Kane not sign a new deal this summer, Spurs hope to sell him to Bayern for a hefty price.

At the moment, the possibility of Kane being sold appears to be considerably more than 50 per cent.

It is clear that Bayern believe that the deal will go through eventually and the fact that Levy has met with the German club’s hierarchy means that the Spurs chairman remains very much open to a sale.
