Report: Tottenham player is now ‘a hot name’ on Serie A club’s wishlist

According to a report in Tuttosport (as relayed by TuttoMercatoWeb), Juventus are prepared to reignite their interest in Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg this summer.

There was plenty of speculation over Hojbjerg’s future during the last two transfer windows but with the midfielder now entering the final year of his deal this June, he looks certain to depart the club this summer.

TuttoSport say that Juve are keen on adding reinforcements to their midfield as Adrien Rabiot and Carlos Alcaraz are expected to depart in the summer.

Juventus are interested in Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg

The report says that Hojbjerg has been followed ‘with particular interest’ by the Serie A club in January and he is ‘once again a hot name’ on their radar ahead of the summer window.

The outlet points out that given the 28-year-old’s contract situation, Spurs will ‘not be able to ask for astronomical sums’ for the player. The Bianconeri allegedly believe that ‘around €20m’ (£17m) to close the operation.

However, the report adds that Juve could face competition in their pursuit of Hojbjerg, with AC Milan, Napoli and Atletico Madrid also keen on the Tottenham man.

Spurs Web Opinion

Juve have held a long-term interest in Hojbjerg and the player himself seemed quite keen on making the switch to Turin last summer. With Massimiliano Allegri looking likely to stay put at the Allianz Stadium, one would expect the Serie A giants to try again for the Dane this summer.
