TuttoMercatoWeb have claimed that Davinson Sanchez is now edging closer to a move to Real Betis.
The report states that even though Sanchez has been pursued by the likes of Galatasaray and Spartak Moscow over recent weeks, it is Betis who are now advancing with their interest in the centre-back.
It is asserted that the 27-year-old, who has been at Tottenham for six seasons, favours a move to Benito Villamarin Stadium, having shown ‘appreciation’ for the project at the La Liga side.

The outlet adds that negotiations between Spurs and Betis are now ‘well advanced’, with a final decision expected within the next week.
This report comes just a couple of days after Relevo journalist Matteo Moretto claimed that the Ligue 1 club Strasbourg had opened talks over a deal for Sanchez.
Dutch journalist Rik Elfrink subsequently claimed on the Heet van de Herdgang podcast on Thursday that PSV Eindhoven will pursue a deal for the Spurs man once they get a couple of players out of the door.

Among the various clubs that are rumoured to be interested in Sanchez, I am not surprised that he favours a switch to Real Betis but I am curious about why Los Verdiblancos are keen on the Colombian as he does not seem to me like a natural fit for Manuel Pellegrini’s preferred style of play.
