Report: Tottenham player pictured with ‘bandaged leg’

The Sun reported on Boxing Day morning that Tottenham Hotspur defender, Danny Rose has left police custody with a ‘bandaged leg’.

This comes after the left-back was allegedly arrested on Christmas Eve at 4 am for ‘dangerous driving’ after crashing his car.

The Sun report that Rose was subsequently escorted to a custody suite at the Northamptonshire Criminal Justice Centre. At this location, Rose was also apparently treated for an injury to his right leg, which would explain the bandaging.

It is said that Rose spent a total of 19 hours in police custody, where he was treated and questioned, before the Spurs man was released at 11 pm on Christmas Eve.

The Sun claim that the police investigation is now centred around how Rose’s car came to be damaged, with sources telling them that the vehicle was missing one wheel by the end of the crash on the A45 in Northampton.

However, with the Spurs defender not even in the club’s current Premier League squad, these proceedings will likely not impact Jose Mourinho’s selections.
