Report: Tottenham player scores in closed match before World Cup kicks off

Brasil Football have revealed that Richarlison took part in a closed session with the Brazil national team today and scored the only goal of the game.

The Tottenham forward will lead his country into the Qatar World Cup wearing the iconic Brazil number 9 shirt and will be looking to get his hands on the trophy, and perhaps the Golden Boot.

Richarlison recently returned from injury for Tottenham, starting the 4-3 thriller against Leeds United as well as getting some minutes off the bench the week before.

And it appears the former Everton man is hitting match sharpness at just the right time for the World Cup, netting in a 1-0 closed match this week for Brazil.

The report does not mention whether the closed match was against another national side, a club side, or just an 11 vs 11 match within the Brazilian squad, but Richarlison won’t mind how the goals are coming.

Spurs Web Opinion:

If Tottenham can get all five of their senior forwards fit after the World Cup, and maybe add one more, they are going to have so much high-class firepower for the second half of the season. Richarlison could become a huge player, off the bench or rotating in.
