Report: Tottenham player wants to make a Serie A switch this summer

Football Insider have claimed that Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg wants to move to the Serie A this summer, with a host of Italian clubs now after the Tottenham man.

The outlet confirms what we have already heard from other sources by stating that Hojbjerg recently hired a new agent in order to help facilitate a move away from Spurs this summer.

The midfielder is thought to be ‘unhappy’ with his game time under Ange Postecoglou this season and has made it clear that he wants to exit Hotspur Way.

Move to Italy on the cards for Hojbjerg

The report says that Tottenham have given the Denmark international’s representatives the green light to find their client a new club,

The Lilywhites are said to be intent on overhauling their squad and want to use the fee from Hojbjerg’s sale to fund moves for their top transfer targets.

The publication adds that the 28-year-old wants to secure a move to Serie A this summer, with Juventus, AC Milan and Napoli said to have expressed an interest in his services.

One would also expect Atletico Madrid to enter the race for Hojbjerg, given that they showed concrete interest in the Dane last summer and they still need reinforcements in the middle of the park. The race for the former Saints star’s signature could really heat up over the coming weeks.
