Report: Tottenham player’s agents have offered him to Serie A club

Corriere dello Sport have revealed that Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele has been offered to AS Roma in January.

Ndombele has started just one Premier League game since Antonio Conte arrived at Spurs. The Italian seemed to hint in his press conference last week that the Frenchman has not understood the demands of his system quite yet.

Reports have indicated that Spurs would be open to cashing in on Ndombele this month.

CalcioMeracto even claimed recently that former Spurs boss Jose Mourinho wants to reunite with the midfielder at the Italian capital. Corriere have now backed up the fact that Mourinho is interested in bringing Ndombele to Roma.

The report explains the Spurs star has been offered to the Giallorossi by agents recently but adds the 25-year-old is not the Serie A club’s first-choice target.

It is also revealed that Roma could only afford to sign Ndombele on an initial loan deal this month and that any large economic operation would have to wait until the summer.

Realistically, we would struggle to find a permanent buyer for Ndombele in January, owing to the midfielder’s bumper salary. Loaning him out would not be a terrible idea as a few clubs might be willing to spend big on the 25-year-old in the summer if he proves himself out on loan.
