Report: Tottenham players are uneasy about the direction the club is heading in

A report from the Daily Mail has now claimed that some Spurs players are feeling uneasy about the direction the club is heading in.

Few can deny that Pochettino has built an extremely talented squad during his time at Spurs, but can the argument be made that this team is coming to an end.

Mousa Dembele, Kyle Walker, and Kieran Trippier have already left the club in recent years, while Christian Eriksen, Toby Alderweireld, and Jan Vertonghen are currently set to leave on frees at the end of this season.

The Daily Mail value this trio at around £150m, which would be a huge sum to replace in the Spurs squad.

The report also suggests that Pochettino is becoming frustrated and grouchy around the Tottenham training ground, while even star man Harry Kane has been labelled as ‘unhappy’ due to the lack of trophies.

Spurs Web Opinion:

It does feel as if the ship has sailed now for that original crop of Tottenham stars. They were supposed to be the golden generation under Pochettino, and yet they could never take that final step towards lifting silverware. It looks to be a painful rebuild over the next couple of seasons for the Lilywhites, and I’m not even sure which players will remain, or whether Pochettino will stick around for that matter.
