Report: Tottenham players have had big say on Pochettino pursuit

According to a report in The Independent, several players in the Tottenham squad have told Daniel Levy that they are in favour of Mauricio Pochettino returning to the club.

Pochettino had developed an excellent relationship with many members of the Spurs squad during his five and a half years at the helm of the North London club.

In fact, the likes of Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Dele Alli have the Argentine to thank for their rise to superstardom.

Multiple reliable sources (Alasdair Gold and Jack Pitt-Brooke) have now confirmed that Tottenham have made contact with Pochettino about a sensational return to the club and that the 49-year-old is in favour of coming back.

If the Independent are to be believed, the Spurs players had a major influence on the club’s pursuit of Pochettino, with several of them reminding Levy that he made a big mistake by sacking the Argentine.

It is asserted that those players have already been in touch with the PSG boss, pleading for him to return.
