Report: Tottenham plot move for Liverpool player who scored 11 goals last season

Football Insider have reported that Tottenham Hotspur are plotting a surprise move for Liverpool rising starlet, Rhian Brewster, this summer.

It is said that Spurs remain in the market for a back-up striker to play behind Harry Kane and signing such a player is the main priority of the summer window.

However, the report adds that many Championship and Premier League clubs have already registered interest in the youngster.

Football Insider claim that Spurs failed with a bid to sign Brewster permanently two years ago, but are now looking to secure him on loan.

Unfortunately, Tottenham realise that their chances are slim, as they would not be able to offer him the regular starting role that other clubs can.

Brewster impressed last season during a loan spell with Swansea City, registering 11 goals in 22 games for the Championship club (Wikipedia).

Tottenham recently loaned out their only other squad striker with first-team experience in Troy Parrott, leaving a vacancy in the second-choice role behind Kane.
