Report: Tottenham prepared to pay out £102m for top target

Tottenham Hotspur are said to be closing in on the signing of Lyon midfield powerhouse, Tanguy Ndombele, after an impressive season both in France and in the Champions League (Sky Sports).

The central midfielder could be the perfect replacement for Mousa Dembele who left Tottenham back in January 2019 without being replaced.

In fact, Spurs haven’t invested in a new senior player in nearly a year and a half, so Ndombele would represent a huge step in the right direction.

Football Insider claim that Spurs will submit an offer of £50m for the 22-year-old this week, but that isn’t where the spending will cease.

The report also claims that a source has told the media outlet that Spurs will offer Ndombele a contract of £200,000 per week for five years, putting him level with Harry Kane.

Football Insider claim that total fees related to the signing could reach a whopping £102m if Spurs are to be successful.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Get this deal over the line, Levy! If there is one player who can take Spurs to the next level, this is the man to do it. Ndombele will more than make up for the loss of Dembele, and will bring so much to that Tottenham midfield.
