Report: Tottenham are ready to make a bid for Frankfurt winger Filip Kostic

Tottenham are ready to make a bid for Eintracht Frankfurt winger Filip Kostic after being convinced by his display in their Europa League final win over Rangers, according to the Express.

Kostic, who can also be deployed as a winger, has produced a stunning campaign for Frankfurt this season as the club ended a 42-year wait for a European title.

The 29-year-old has tallied seven goals and 15 assists in all competitions, while he notched three and six respectively in the Europa League alone (Transfermarkt).

His performance against Rangers saw his pinpoint cross reach Rafael Borre, who tapped home the equaliser in regular time before he coolly dispatched his penalty in the shootout.

The Express claims he was reportedly being monitored throughout the match by officials from Tottenham, who are thought to have been left impressed with what they saw in Seville.

The report notes the Premier League side could be primed to make a bid to sign the £25 million-rated wide man this summer, with head coach Conte keen on bringing him to north London to strengthen his options.

Conte reportedly urged Spurs to snap up Kostic in the January transfer window having also tried to sign him during his time as Inter Milan boss (Fichajes.net).

Kostic produced a fine display in the final against Rangers and he looks to be the perfect profile to slot in at left wing-back at Tottenham under Conte.

It is likely that Frankfurt will be very keen to keep hold of him considering they will be playing Champions League football next season, as well as him being one of their key players.

But he should definitely be someone Spurs should look at considering the squad is still quite far from what Conte wants right now.
