Report: Tottenham preparing staggering £100m total offer for top target

It is no secret that Tottenham are very interested in signing Giovani Lo Celso this transfer window, after the club had a bid turned down last month.

Spurs reportedly submitted an offer of £53m for the Real Betis playmaker, but it was turned down as it was too far from his £88m buyout clause (BBC).

Real Betis only signed the player earlier this year after a loan spell, paying £21m through an option-to-buy clause, but it appears that his valuation has skyrocketed since then (Goal).

Football Insider have now reported that Spurs are readying a monster £100m bid to sign the player this summer, as Pochettino looks to significantly strengthen his side.

This deal includes an offer of around £60m to Real Betis, as well as a predicted £150,000 a week contract over five years for the player himself.

Lo Celso scored 16 goals and set up six more last season in 45 matches in all competitions from Real Betis, and has now earned 18 international caps for Argentina.
