Report: Tottenham ready to make sizeable bid for Serie A striker in January

According to SportMediaset, Tottenham are ready to offer Fiorentina ‘a lot of cash’ to sign Dusan Vlahovic in January, with Antonio Conte said to have placed the striker high up on his list of transfer targets.

Vlahovic, who is out of contract with La Viola in the summer and unlikely to sign a new deal, has been a wanted man over the last year following his impressive breakout campaign in Serie A last season.

His impressive performances have continued into the new Serie A campaign where he currently sits on eight goals from 12 games, which have led the rumours around his future in Italy to continue escalating.

However, SportMediaset now claim that Spurs are in pole position to sign the 21-year-old in the winter transfer window, after new manager Conte allegedly siphoned the striker as a prime option to strengthen his forward line.

The former Chelsea boss took over the club less than a fortnight ago and has allegedly started to draft a list of targets he is keen to recruit in January to bolster his squad.

The report adds that Italian giants Juventus, who are also keeping tabs on Vlahovic, are now in a tough position to land the Serbian international, given the fact they are not prepared to shell out a high amount of money in January.

Spurs Web Opinion

If Conte has picked out Vlahovic as a transfer target to go for in January, then Spurs may have to listen and try to acquire him. It won’t be easy, nor will it be cheap with his contract situation, but Spurs need to lessen the load on Harry Kane and Heung-min Son as well.
