Report: Tottenham reject approach from Italian side for defender

Tottenham Hotspur have had a nightmare at right-back all season under Mauricio Pochettino, all starting with selling Kieran Trippier who is now thriving in Spain with Atletico Madrid.

So far, Poch has deployed Kyle Walker-Peters, Serge Aurier, Davinson Sanchez, and Moussa Sissoko at right-back, with Eric Dier and Juan Foyth also potential options if needed.

However, the Argentine has yet to find a regular starter, with Walker-Peters appearing the most from the start with four games out of eleven under his belt.

Serge Aurier looked to be having a second coming at Spurs when he got his place back in the XI, putting in superb displays against Crystal Palace and Leicester City, however, that soon vanished.

The Ivorian then saw red against Southampton and put in a woeful performance against Bayern Munich in the humiliating 7-2 defeat.

Tuttosport have now claimed that Spurs have rejected advances from AC Milan for the right-back, with the Italian club interested in a January move.

For some reason, the Tuttosport article featured an image of Danny Rose instead of Serge Aurier. That one has left us scratching our heads.

Spurs Web Opinion:

If I were Levy and Pochettino, I would be biting off AC Milan’s arm if they want Serge Aurier. Sell up for whatever price you can get and invest it in a new, young, hungry full-back in the winter window.
