Report: Tottenham reject straight swap deal involving Sergio Reguilon

Calcio Mercato Web have reported that Tottenham rejected a straight swap deal involving Sergio Reguilon and Juventus midfielder, Weston McKennie.

The report claims that, with Reguilon an outcast under Conte, and Leandro Paredes on the verge of joining Juventus, both players are unwanted at their current clubs.

The potential of a straight swap is said to have been put to former Juventus duo Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici, but Tottenham have turned the offer down.

There have been plenty of rumours surrounding Reguilon over the past few months, with some suggesting he fancied a return to Sevilla (90Min), while Serie A sides Atalanta (Tutto Atalanta) and Lazio (CalcioMercato) have also been linked.

More recently, Nottingham Forest are said to have shown interest (The Athletic), but Fabrizio Romano revealed Reguilon himself had rejected the chance to join them as he has ‘different priorities’.

The Sun claim that Fulham are also interested in the left-back, while AS hint Reguilon could stay at Spurs for another season.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Reguilon will not be at Tottenham come the end of the window. Spurs won’t have a problem finding a desperate last-minute loan, but you get the impression they want to look for a sale or a loan with an option to buy first.
