Report: Tottenham release update on Hugo Lloris injury

Tottenham Hotspur have released an update on the extent of Hugo Lloris’ injury which he sustained in the Premier League match against Brighton today.

The Frenchman made a huge mistake in the first two minutes when he failed to tip across-come-shot over the crossbar.

Instead, Hugo attempted to catch the ball while back-peddling, before releasing it from his grasp once he realised his momentum would carry it over the line.

Unfortunately, the Brighton striker was ready and waiting to follow the ball in and tap it home to make it 1-0 before the Spurs side had even settled into the match.

To make matters even worse, as Lloris hit the deck after the incident, he landed awkwardly on his arm, bending it in a nasty direction.

Spurs have now revealed that the France and Tottenham captain has dislocated his elbow and was assessed at a local hospital but will return to London this evening.

He will undergo assessment and then rehabilitation with Tottenham.
