Report: Tottenham deal agreed for deadline day move

Goal reported two days ago that Tottenham had offered a fee of £30m, plus Josh Onomah, in return for Fulham’s teenage sensation, Ryan Sessegnon.

The North London club were said to be confident that the bid would be enough to secure Sessegnon’s signing before the Thursday deadline.

The Premier League window for incoming transfers slams shut tomorrow at 5 pm, handing Spurs less that 24 hours to get any late business done in time.

Sessegnon does reportedly want a Spurs move in order to remain in London and link up with Pochettino due to his fine record with English youngsters (Guardian).

The Daily Mirror have now issued an update on the situation, stating that Tottenham are ‘closing in’ on this very deal.

However, they now claim that the fee will be around £25m, with Onomah still moving in the opposite direction, although they do not say whether this would be a part of the same deal.

The report suggests that the deal could go through on deadline day.

The Independent have gone as far as to claim that the deal has now been agreed, with Sessegnon set to join tomorrow for the £25m fee.
