Report: Tottenham scouts have delivered rave reviews about 19-year-old

Football Insider have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are continuing to keep close tabs on Bristol City starlet Alex Scott and are considering a move for him ahead of the summer transfer window.

Scott has come on leaps and bounds since establishing himself as a regular in Bristol’s starting eleven last season, with the teenager’s performances this campaign seemingly catching the eye of several Premier League clubs.

CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs revealed last month that the likes of Spurs, Bournemouth, Wolves, Leicester, Leeds and Brighton were keen on snapping up the midfielder, but the youngster stayed put at Ashton Gate Stadium.

Football Insider now suggests that Tottenham could reignite their interest in Scott when the transfer window reopens, with the North Londoners said to have continued to scout him through the season.

The report reveals that Spurs scouts were present to watch the 19-year-old in Briston’s 1-0 win over Norwich City on Saturday.

It is asserted that Paratici’s scouts have delivered rave reviews about the versatile attacking midfielder, who has also featured out wide this season.

Spurs Web Opinion

While Scott is undoubtedly a fantastic talent, I have my doubts as to whether signing up-and-coming talents from the Championship would make sense with Conte in charge.

The Italian seems quite hesitant to trust players who are unproven at the top level as we saw with Djed Spence this season.
