Report: Tottenham send scout to watch left-back ahead of a potential move

Football Insider have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are one of several Premier League clubs eyeing a summer move for Brest defender Bradley Locko.

Locko has emerged as one of the best left-backs in Ligue 1 over the last couple of years and he is now thought to be in the sights of many clubs across the English channel.

Football Insider reveal that scouts from Tottenham watched the 22-year-old in action in Brest’s 1-1 draw against Reims over the weekend.

Competition now growing for Bradley Locko

The report says that Spurs are not the only ones eyeing a move for Locko, with the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea, Aston Villa, West Ham and Crystal Palace also said to be weighing up offers.

The report says that Brest are aware of the growing interest in the left-back and are not in a position to reject big offers for the defender, even though he is contracted to the club until 2027.

In fact, it is asserted that the Ligue 1 side have already reached out to agent Willie McKay to speak to Spurs and other interested clubs about a deal for Locko.

Spurs Web Opinion

I suspect that Tottenham would be prioritising signing a natural right-back this summer rather than a left-back. Emerson Royal appears certain to be sold but I would not be surprised if Postecoglou decides to keep Ben Davies around as a squad player.
