Report: Tottenham send scout to watch teenage defender

Tottenham Hotspur have been defensively weak so far this season, with the club having registered just the one clean sheet in the opening six fixtures.

Spurs have also conceded eight goals across these games, with the 4-0 win over Crystal Palace being their only clean spot on their recent record.

A report from Fotospor now claims that Spurs are scouting a new central defender, but he is not the immediate solution that some fans may be hoping for.

The report states that Tottenham sent a scout to watch Altinordu’s Ravil Tagir when the club faced off against Eskisehirspor at the weekend.

The 16-year-old centre-back plays for the Turkish U21 team and has also apparently caught the eye of Man City, Man United, and PSG of late.

Tagir has under one year remaining on his current contract, meaning that it could be a fight for his pre-contract agreement come January.

Could this lad be a good investment?
