Report: Tottenham sent representatives to Portugal this week

Tottenham Hotspur may already be lining up some potential signings for their new manager, Jose Mourinho, with the January transfer window fast approaching.

A report from A Bola claims that Spurs sent representatives to Portugal this week, along with a number of other clubs.

The report states that Spurs scouts went to watch Boavista vs Benfica on Friday evening, as did three other teams, as Benfica ran away to a 4-1 win.

However, the report does not reveal exactly who Spurs were watching at the match, although Sport Witness have had a couple of guesses.

They believe that the centre-back Ruben Diaz and left-back  Alex Grimaldo are potential players of interest for Spurs.

This comes as Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen are both out of contract in the summer, the two players who started at centre-back and left-back respectively against Burnley.

Sport Witness add that Mourinho is a known fan of Ruben Diaz.
