Report: Tottenham sent scouts to watch in-form striker this week

Tottenham Hotspur have been left a tad thin on the ground when it comes to strikers this season after their business in the summer transfer window.

Spurs released Fernando Llorente back in June after his contract came to an end, with the player eventually joining up with Napoli for the new season.

Not only did they lose their number two striker, but reserve choice Vincent Janssen was then sold on in the same window.

This leaves Harry Kane as the only senior out-and-out striker at the club, with Troy Parrott waiting in the wings as an academy back-up choice.

A report this week claims that Spurs sent scouts to watch Fenerbahce striker, Vedat Muriqi in action for Kosovo against the Czech Republic this weekend. Napoli, Fiorentina, and Lazio were also watching him (Sabah).

The striker has scored two goals in three games for his Turkish club already this season, and 66 in 213 across his career (Wikipedia).

Fenerbahce would apparently only sell if a giant offer came in, with the 25-year-old under contract until 2023.
