Report: Tottenham set a new all-time club record during Crystal Palace win

Football.London have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur broke their club record for the most number of passes recorded in a single match during their 3-1 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday.

It has been well documented that Spurs extended their goalscoring streak to 38 consecutive games when Timo Werner found the back of the net in the 77th minute to cancel out Eberechi Eze’s opener, with the home side eventually clinching the win with further goals from Cristian Romero and Son Heung-min.

Tottenham make record number of passes vs Palace

Football.London have revealed that Ange Postecoglou’s men also completed 732 passes against the Eagles, which is a club record in a single Premier League game.

In contrast, Palace completed just 158 in the whole game, having just 22 per cent of the ball compared to Tottenham’s 78 per cent.

The report reveals that out of Spurs’ record 732 completed passes at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday, Romero made the most with 124 while Yves Bissouma and Micky van de Ven made 115 and 100 each respectively.

Given the way we play under Ange, constantly making sharp, sharp passes to move opposition players out of position and find spaces, we will likely break this record another couple of times within the next 12 months or so.
