Report: Tottenham set staggering price for playmaker Christian Eriksen

Tottenham Hotspur failed to bring in any new faces this season, becoming the first Premier League side in history not to sign anyone in back-to-back windows.

The only piece of transfer business came in the form of selling Mousa Dembele to China, and he may not be the final Spurs midfielder to leave this year.

Christian Eriksen will enter the final year of his contract come the end of this season, and there appears to be no new deal in sight.

This leaves Daniel Levy and Tottenham with a choice to make, sell him in the summer for a profit or risk his contract ticking down and the Dan leaving on a free.

Tottenham will surely only be able to demand an amount far below his top value, as having just a year left on his contract will significantly affect the price.

However, the Daily Star claims that Spurs are ready to set a £200m price tag on the playmaker, although this will surely condemn the player to leaving on a free in 2020.
