Report: Spurs expected to make a £400m announcement in coming weeks

Football Insider have now reported that Tottenham are expected to make an announcement in the coming weeks that annual revenues have gone beyond the £400m mark.

This is said to include increases in broadcasting, matchday, and commercial revenue streams.

The latest set of Spurs financial results are due to be posted by the beginning of April and the report indicates that it will be positive news for the club.

If true, turnover beyond the £400m mark for the latest accounting period would mark a club-record, building on the progress shown in the past few years.

Football Insider say that the 2017/18 season report showed a revenue increase from £309.7m to £380.7m, which increased even further last season after the Champions League run.

Of course, Spurs were beaten in the final by Liverpool, but that didn’t stop the North London club from claiming £85m over the course of the competition.

Despite the potential club-record turnover, the profits are not expected to reach the £112.9m heights of last year, a value that became a Premier League record.

Spurs Web Opinion:

The more money coming into the club, in theory, the more money that is available to spend on transfers. Let’s hope that Spurs continue to grow in stature and can develop into one of the big hitters in the transfer market. They certainly now have a head coach who is used to getting a big transfer kitty.
