Report: Tottenham slap this price tag on wantaway Eriksen

Tottenham Hotspur fans may have been slightly shocked to read Christian Eriksen’s latest interview this morning, in which he reveals that he would like to move on from the North London club (Ekstra Bladet).

Eriksen has just one year left on his contract at Tottenham, meaning that Spurs must either sell up for a profit, offer him a new deal, or risk losing him for nothing next summer.

The Great Dane has consistently been linked with Real Madrid this summer, as he could follow in the footsteps of Luka Modric and Gareth Bale (Mirror).

However, the Mirror now report that Eriksen will cost any potential suitor a whopping £130m this transfer window, as Levy looks to raise funds for new players.

It has been previously reported that Madrid would not want to go over £62m for the attacking midfielder this summer, less than half what Tottenham reportedly want (AS).

Spurs Web Opinion:

£130m is an utterly ridiculous amount of money for Eriksen in the final year of his contract. No club in their right mind would pay that when they could potentially get the player for free in a year’s time. Around £70m would be more realistic, in my opinion, and would represent a good investment for Spurs.https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/tottenham-name-christian-eriksen-price-16262317
