Report: Tottenham sources present update on Man United’s chances of signing Kane

Tottenham sources say that Manchester United will be unable to prise Harry Kane away from North London, Manchester Evening News have reported.

Kane recently admitted in a live interview on Instagram with Jamie Redknapp that he might rethink his Spurs future if the team stops progressing. These comments left some Spurs fans worried that the striker might push to leave the club in the near future.

The striker’s future has been subject to a lot of speculation in recent weeks with Manchester United said to be keen on securing his signature in the summer (Evening Standard).

However, Manchester Evening News now claims that the Red Devils are unlikely to be able to pay the exuberant fee that Spurs may demand for Kane.

Ole Gunnar Solksjaer’s side are instead said to be prioritising moves for Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho and Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish.

The report also asserts that there is a feeling in Old Trafford that Kane isn’t easily attainable due to Tottenham’s reluctance to sell the striker.

Spurs Web Opinion

I don’t think we are likely to see any transfers in excess of £100 million this summer as even the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Manchester United will take a big financial hit due to coronavirus shutdown. We will likely see transfer fees falling considerably and most clubs will be forced to go for cheaper options.
