Report: Tottenham star ‘deeply frustrated’ at his current situation

According to The Daily Mirror, Harry Winks has been left ‘deeply frustrated’ by being continuously overlooked by Jose Mourinho in his team selections.

Winks has struggled to even make the bench for Premier League games over recent months, with the most of his game time coming in the Europa League (transfermarkt.com).

After a very tidy performance against Ludogorets last week, the midfielder might have expected to be handed a start against LASK on Thursday but he was instead an unused substitute in Austria.

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold reported earlier this week that Tottenham will not consider selling Winks in January and are only likely to consider a potential sale next summer.

However, The Mirror reports that the 24-year-old is running out of patience and fears that his place in England’s squad for the Euros could potentially be at risk.

With Gareth Southgate making it clear that players must play regularly at their clubs to keep their place in the Three Lions squad, the report claims that Winks could be forced to push for a move next month.
