Report: Tottenham star has missed every day of training this week with a knock

For anyone hoping to see Pedro Porro in action this weekend against Crystal Palace, the chances of that happening are looking pretty slim, as a report reveals the full-back has not been in training this week.

Pedro Porro has been a key figure in the Spurs side under Ange Postcoglou this season, with the Spaniard proving to be the perfect full-back for the Ange-ball system.

With eight assists and a goal to his name this season (Transfermarkt), Porro has become one of the most valuable creative assets in Postecoglou’s squad, as well as being a dependable head at the back, too.

His importance became all the clearer the last time Spurs played, with Porro missing from the lineup due to an injury. Spurs lost to Wolves, with Emerson Royal stepping in for Porro but proving to be far below the standard needed.

Will Pedro Porro be fit for the Palace game?

It has been touch and go as to whether Porro would be ready to return against Palace this weekend, with The Standard previously claiming he could well be fit again.

However, the same outlet has a new update on the situation, and it’s not looking good for Porro’s chances of being in the squad for Saturday’s game.

Unfortunately, it is believed that Porro “is yet to return to work with the group” this week.

Spurs Web Opinion

This is a real blow, as he’s a key player for us now and I just don’t think we can rely on Emerson Royal to offer the same quality Porro offers, neither in defence or attack. Hopefully Royal can do just enough to get through this next game, and then Porro can return for the all-important Villa clash.
