According to El Confidential, Tottenham Hotspur playmaker Christian Eriksen is the number one target for Spanish Giants Real Madrid. This comes after Florentino Perez admitting that he would rather sign the Danish international than Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.
Real Madrid have not been the same side ever since Cristiano Ronaldo left the Spanish capital for Juventus in the summer transfer window with Madrid scoring less goals, conceding more, winning less games resulting in losing more.
Many had believed that Welsh Winger Gareth Bale who Real Madrid signed from Tottenham would fill the boots, Ronaldo had filled for nine years and guide Madrid to success but this hasn’t been the case due to injuries and poor form.
Ever since Christian Eriksen arrived in North London, he has been one of the first names on the teamsheet being a consistent player contributing to many goals in Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
Tottenham fan’s would be sorry to see the back of Christian Eriksen but they know chairman Daniel Levy will try and get the best price possible for their ‘Great Dane’
