Calciomercato.it have revealed that Juventus hold an interest in signing Tottenham midfielder Giovani Lo Celso this month.

Lo Celso has not had many minutes under Antonio Conte due to his injury troubles but the Argentine did come on as a late substitute in Tottenham’s 1-0 win over Watford on Saturday after recovering from his calf strain.

It was reported a couple of weeks ago that the 25-year-old was keen on the idea of returning to Real Betis in January, with the La Liga club contemplating re-signing the midfielder.

Calcimercato.it have now revealed that Juve have also identified the Tottenham man as a target, with Massimiliano Allegri keen to reinforce his midfield department in the current transfer window.

The report alleges Juve have made a contract regarding a potential January deal for Lo Celso and that the midfielder ‘likes’ the idea of moving to the Serie A giants.

It is said the Argentina international would even be open to a loan move to the Allianz Stadium until the end of the season.

Spurs Web Opinion

Whether or not Conte views Lo Celso as being part of his long-term plans, I doubt if the Italian would want to let the midfielder leave in January.

Given the busy schedule Spurs have coming up over the next two months, Conte and his coaching staff will likely want to have the Argentine around as a squad option.
