Report: Tottenham star linked with a June exit – with five clubs interested

Tottenham Hotspur fans enjoyed unlikely meteoric rises from the likes of Lucas Moura and Moussa Sissoko last season, but the most unlikely hero among the Spurs ranks has to go to Fernando Llorente.

A 34-year-old lumbering centre-forward who had barely been used in his first season at the club, few would had predicted that he would have left much of a mark on Spurs hearts.

However, through two long Harry Kane injuries, Llorente stepped up time and time again, both in the Premier League and in Europe.

Tottenham fans will always remember his header against Dortmund, his late hip winner away to Man City, and his last-minute flick-on against Ajax in Amsterdam.

However, it looks as if Llorente will be leaving Tottenham with his head held high this summer, as his contract runs out at the end of this month (TransferMarkt).

The former World Cup Winner is said to be the target of AC Milan, Inter Milan, Athletic Bilbao, Roma, and Galatasaray this summer, after he is available on a free (A Bola).

Spurs Web Opinion:

I personally hope that Spurs have a change of heart in the next few days and give Llorente a one-year extension. I believe he adds a valuable plan-B that few top Premier League teams have.
