The Sun have now reported that Danny Rose is set to stay in North London for another season, after potential moves away fell through.
The England left-back was left out of the Asia pre-season tour in order to pursue a possible exit away from the club.
However, he was welcomed back into the fold for the Audi Cup fixtures in Germany. In fact, he has now started the last three matches at left-back for Pochettino.
With Ben Davies yet to appear in pre-season, one would imagine that Rose would at least start the season as the Argentine’s first choice on the left side of defence.
The Sun say that PSG and Juventus showed a slight interest in Rose, but there was nothing concrete from either of the clubs.
Spurs Web Opinion:
I for one am glad that Rose is staying. I still rate him as one of the best in his position in the Premier League, and with Trippier already out the door, Spurs could not afford to lose another full-back. If Sessegnon does still come in, Rose is the perfect role model for the young teen.
