Report: Tottenham defender open to leaving next month amid rumoured interest from Italy

According to a report by Calcio Mercato, Davinson Sanchez is open to leaving Tottenham Hotspur when the transfer window opens in January amid rumoured interest from AC Milan.

Eric Dier and Toby Alderweireld have become Jose Mourinho’s first-choice pairing in central defence, with the pair having formed a formidable partnership at the back.

Summer signing Joe Rodon has also seemingly moved ahead of Sanchez in the pecking order after he was handed a start against Chelsea while Alderweireld was out injured.

The Colombian has struggled to even make Spurs’ Premier League matchday squad in recent weeks and has primarily been used in the Europa League (transfermarkt.com).

The Sun revealed last week that the 24-year-old has emerged as a target for AC Milan, who are keen to bolster their central defensive ranks in order to aid their Serie A title tilt.

CalcioMercato claim that while there has been no official offer from the San Siro outfit, Sanchez is attracted by the idea of playing his football in Italy.

While the former Ajax defender is said to be keen to prove his worth away from North London, the report reveals that Daniel Levy has no intention of ‘giving discounts’ next month.
