Report: Tottenham star wants ‘to play for Real Madrid’

According to a report in Defensa Central (as relayed by Sport Witness), Tanguy Ndombele wants to play for Real Madrid in the future.

Ndombele was expected to leave Tottenham in the summer after reportedly informing Nuno Espirito Santo that he wanted a new challenge.

However, the transfer did not materialise and, after being left out of the matchday squad in the first few games of the season, the midfielder has been reinstated into the side.

It remains to be seen whether the speculation over the 24-year-old’s future will remerge when the transfer window opens again in January.

However, if Defensa Central’s update is to be believed, Ndombele wants to move to Santiago Bernabeu one day.

The report claims the former Lyon man tried to leave Spurs in the summer but could not do so and is now ‘waiting for future windows’.

Apart from Ndombele, it is claimed that AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie and Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, who are both thought to be on Tottenham’s radar (according to Corriere dello Sport and Football Italia) are also said to be eyeing a move to Madrid.

However, it is explained that Carlo Ancelotti’s have not made any efforts to sign any of the aforementioned midfielders at this stage.

Spurs Web Opinion

I do not think many players in the world would turn down the chance to join Real Madrid. So, it would not come as a surprise if that is indeed in Ndombele’s mind.

However, if the Frenchman is to get a big move next summer (or potentially even in January), he needs to buckle down and perform consistently this season.
