Report: Tottenham star’s wife looking for schools in Italy ahead of proposed move

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked to a number of new young right-backs in recent weeks, which comes after a below-par season for both Kieran Trippier and Serge Aurier.

Both first-team Spurs right-backs have performed inconsistently defensively this season, as the club have already recorded 13 losses this campaign.

Tottenham have been linked with Crystal Palace’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka (Sun), Norwich’s Max Aarons (Mirror), and Nice’s Youcef Atal (Telegraph) in the build-up to the summer transfer window.

The Express claim that Trippier is on a list of players to leave the club in this same transfer window, and a new report may reveal where he is off to.

The Sun say that Trippier’s wife has been spotted in Naples looking at schools, hinting at a move to Napoli, who had a £17m bid rejected for the player last month (Sun).

Trippier still has three years left on his current Spurs deal, and the Sun report claims Napoli are only willing to spend up to £20m on the right-back.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I always believe that if you are going to sell a player, it makes sense to sell them to a club in a different league that will not come up against too often. This removes any risk of them improving a rival team, or upping their game when facing you again. While Trippier has been a good servant to the club, he has had an extremely rocky season, and £20m would not be a bad price if the club reinvests the money into say Wan-Bissaka or Aarons.
