Report: Tottenham still looking to complete four deals on deadline day

With just hours left until the end of the transfer window, it looks like Tottenham are trying to make up for lost time and finish the window in sensational fashion.

The Times journalist, Gary Jacob claimed today morning that Tottenham hope to complete deals for Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso, Fulham wide man Ryan Sessegnon, Juventus forward Paulo Dybala, and Nice defender Youcef Atal before the 5 pm deadline.

In fact, other reports suggest that Lo Celso and Sessegnon were both due at Hotspur Way for a medical this morning before their captures are confirmed (The Telegraph).

However, the Mirror now claim that the Sessegnon deal has hit an impasse.

Tottenham interest in Atal makes sense in the light of Serge Aurier being linked with a move back to PSG this summer (The Sun).

However, the pursuit of Dybala is really up in the air today, with the BBC claiming the deal is off and the Independent claiming there is still a chance.

While getting Ndombele, Lo Celso and Sessegnon would still be an excellent window for the club, one can’t help but feel that if Spurs really wanted to challenge Manchester City and Liverpool for the Premier League title, they can certainly do with one more world-class talent like Dybala.
