Report: Tottenham striker is now on the radars of Ajax and PSV

According to a report in The42, a number of Eredivisie clubs are eyeing a summer move for Tottenham striker Troy Parrott in light of his impressive displays for Excelsior Rotterdam.

While Parrott failed to hit the expected heights in his series of loan spells in the Championship and League One over the last three years, the striker appears to have come off age since his temporary move to the Netherlands last summer.

The 22-year-old had to bide his time to break into Excelsior’s starting eleven but has not looked back since doing so, with seven goals and three assists to his name in 17 Eredivisie appearances so far (Transfermarkt).

Tottenham’s Troy Parrott is turning heads

The42 have now revealed several Dutch clubs, including both Ajax and PSV Eindhoven, are now keeping a close eye on Parrott’s displays and are contemplating a summer move for the striker.

The report alleges that reigning Champions Feyenoord as well as AZ Alkmaar have also expressed an interest in the Republic of Ireland international.

The outlet does not shed into whether Tottenham would be willing to cash in on Parrott next summer or on what price he is valued at by the North London side.

Spurs Web Opinion

Parrott has always been quite clear that his ultimate ambition is to make it at Tottenham. The striker’s injury last summer robbed him of an opportunity to impress Postecoglou. The Australian will likely want to take a closer look at the 22-year-old in pre-season before making a decision on his future.
