Report: Tottenham submit opening offer for 21-year-old midfielder

Football 365 have revealed that Tottenham Hotspur have now submitted an opening offer for Barcelona starlet Pablo Torre ahead of the summer transfer window.

Torre delivered some impressive displays after breaking into the Barca side last season and the young midfielder was subsequently loaned out to Girona last summer.

The 21-year-old has continued to impress at Estadi Montilivi and it turns out that his performances have caught the attention of Tottenham.

Spurs have made their move for Pablo Torre

Football 365 say that Tottenham are keen to bolster their midfield this summer and have identified Torre as someone who can compete with Yves Bissouma for the number six role next season.

In fact, it is alleged that Ange Postecoglou’s men have already launched a ‘tempting offer’ of £26m for the Spain Under-21 international.

The outlet says that it is unclear if such an offer would be enough to convince Barca to sell the midfielder but points out that the Catalan club would have to offload a few players this summer, given their current economic situation.

The publication adds that Torre is not the only Blaugrana star that Spurs are looking at, with the Premier League side also ‘determined’ to sign winger Dani Rodriguez, whose current deal at Nou Camp runs out in June.

While one can understand why Tottenham want to continue stocking their squad with top young talent, the club also needs to sign a more experienced and proven number six like Ederson, who would walk into the starting eleven and instantly improve the side.
