Tottenham Hotspur have been heavily linked with Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele for some time now, with Sky Sports reporting last week that the two clubs are in talks.

Ndombele is seen as a long-term replacement for Mousa Dembele, who left North London for China back in January 2019.

However, Lyon are said to want around £63m for the French powerhouse this summer, a fee that Tottenham have not yet met (Sky Sports).

Despite this, reports indicated that both sides were confident that a deal could be reached before the new season kicks off (Standard).

There was a potential spanner in the works yesterday, as it was reported that PSG tabled an offer for Ndombele on Friday (Express).

However, it appears that this may have sparked a response from Tottenham, as Football Insider claim the North London outfit have now bid £55m for the player, which would be a club record fee.

It remains to be seen whether Lyon will be happy with a bid £8m under their reported asking price.

  1. I hope this is true as he is absolutely the No.1 player we need to be signing this summer.
Personally I hope we get him and throw in another£20m for Fekir at the same time.
Then bring in Sessegon, Ajar (Celtic) as Toby’s long term replacement and I think we done unless a decent too notch RB becomes available at the right price, if not let KWP have a true crack at making it his own.
Davies I think can be brilliant cover for Jan next season and a potential long term replacement, just needs more minutes their, which he’ll get if Sessegon signs and Rose stays.

Sanchez and Foyth have unbelievable potential and will be brilliant for years too come but I think Ajar would be an awesome signing on too of them.

With them signing made it say, Tripps, Dier, Onomah, Nkoudou, Lamela and Janssen can go.

If Eriksen want to go then fine, esp if he won’t sign a new deal, but the money has to be reinvested into the team, as our bench has really let us down over the last season or 2 with the odd exception Lucas, Sanchez, Winks and KWP mostly spring to mind
