Report: Tottenham suffer injury blow ahead of north London derby

The Evening Standard have revealed that Dejan Kulusevski is now a doubt for the all-important north London derby on Saturday.

Tottenham travel to the Emirates this weekend for their sternest test of the season so far, with their bitter rivals currently sitting at the top of the Premier League table.

Hugo Lloris and Ben Davies are reportedly in a race against time to be fit for the clash, with the Welshman nursing a knee problem and Spurs captain thought to have a minor thigh injury (Football.London).

The Evening Standard have now revealed that Kulusevski is also a doubt for the clash with a suspected muscle injury.

It is explained that the winger underwent a scan after returning to Hotspur Way yesterday after reporting tightness in his hamstring.

The 22-year-old played the full 90 minutes of Sweden’s 1-1 draw with Slovenia on Tuesday while Antonio Conte is likely to comment on the winger’s condition at this afternoon’s press conference which is scheduled for 2pm.

If Kulusevski is out of the clash, it will be a major blow for Spurs, given the Swede’s ability to carry the ball and progress us up the pitch. It also means that Conte will not have any forwards to bring on from the bench, particularly if Lucas Moura is also not passed fit for the clash.
