Report: Tottenham table new bid for Giovani Lo Celso

Tottenham Hotspur have been involved in a few transfer sagas over the last couple of months, but none have rumbled on as long as Giovani Lo Celso.

The BBC reported that Tottenham had lodged a £53m bid for the attacking midfielder way back in May at the start of the window.

However, this offer was turned down by his club, Real Betis, as they felt it was not close enough to his buyout clause of £88m.

Fast forward to August 7 and still no deal has been done between the two clubs, with just over 24 hours to go in the transfer window.

The window slams shut for Premier League incoming transfers at 5 pm tomorrow, so Spurs will have to move quickly on this one. And moving they are…

Sky Sports have now revealed that Tottenham have submitted a new €60m bid for the Argentine, with Betis valuing him at €70m.

Lo Celso is said to want the move, but there has been no word as to whether Betis have rejected or accepted the offer as of yet.
