Report: Tottenham table bid for Juventus star Paulo Dybala – Juve respond

Tottenham Hotspur have been chasing an Argentine playmaker all summer in Giovani Lo Celso from Real Betis, seeing a bid of £53m turned down early in the window (BBC).

However, reports have now emerged that Spurs are interested in signing his international compatriot, Paulo Dybala from Juventus. Dybala is apparently said to be valued at £80m (Sky Sports).

The 25-year-old can play as either an attacking midfielder or as a striker, and could potentially partner Harry Kane if he makes the switch to North London.

Italian newspaper, La Stampa, have now claimed that Tottenham have tabled a bid of £44m for the player, which has swiftly been rejected by the Italian giants.

It is also unclear as to whether Juventus want to sell Dybala at all, even if their valuation is met, with the player currently on holiday.

Dybala will reportedly sit down with Sarri when he returns to training in order to clarify his position at the club for the new season.
