Report: Tottenham take ‘teenage sensation’ on trial with a view to signing

Tottenham Hotspur are famed for bringing bright, young talent through their academy and into the first team, especially under Mauricio Pochettino.

Harry Kane and Harry Winks are two obvious examples of recent academy graduates that have made it big in the Premier League.

However, after a positive pre-season, the likes of Oliver Skipp, George Marsh, Japhet Tanganga, Harvey White, Anthony Georgiou, Jack Roles, and co may be the next crop to make the leap.

Troy Parrott, the young Irish sensation, has been particularly impressive in pre-season. However, Spurs may now be moving for another Irish teenager this summer.

Football Insider claim that Spurs have asked 15-year-old Charlie Allen to come for a trial period after he impressed for Northern Irish champions, Linfield, last season.

He even made his first-team debut in the final game of the season last year, making him the club’s youngest ever debutant.

The report states that Man United, Man City, Liverpool, and Leicester have also shown interest in the player, but Spurs are aiming to steal a march on him.
