Report: Tottenham target claims he is happy at Barca

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with numerous attacking stars since the announcement of Harry Kane’s latest ankle injury.

The Spurs striker picked up the knock against Man United in the recent 1-0 defeat, and will be out until early March with the injury.

Tottenham are also without Heung Min Son, who is away at the Asia Cup with South Korea.

Sport reported a few days ago that Barcelona winger Malcom was very likely to sign for Tottenham on loan until the end of the season.

He was seen as a potential replacement, temporary or otherwise, for the likes of Kane, Son, and Lucas Moura.

The two sides were said to be in negotiations over a potential deal, but since then, nothing has been reported.

However, Malcom has now told Sport that he is happy at Barcelona, and wants to concentrate on winning trophies, implying that he will be staying put with the Spanish giants.

He said (as reported by HITC): “Being in Barça is very difficult, because all players have a lot of quality, in fact, here are the best, you have to be patient and take advantage of every second you can play.

“You have to enjoy having the best, all I think about is winning all the titles.”
